Referral Agent changing to Salesperson or Broker

If you would like to change your license type from Referral Agent to Broker of Record, Broker - salesperson, or Salesperson, some Continuing Education or Exams may be required depending upon your individual circumstance. Please visit the New Jersey Real Estate Commission website for more details.

Completion of 12 credit hours of CE.  At least six of the twelve credits must be obtained in courses within the “core topics”. The six must include at least 2 credit hours on ethics. The remaining 6 credits can be electives or core.

Referral Agent

Currently there is no continuing education requirement for the renewal of a Referral Agent license.
