  • Mandatory - Broker Responsibility: 3 CE hours (not currently offered by WebCE)
  • Electives: 9 CE hours

11/15 annually

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 1 year license term.

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess hours may not be carried over to the next license term.

What is the North Dakota Real Estate license renewal process?

All licenses expire on December 31st of each year and licensees are required to apply for renewal by November 15th. The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew.

What are the WebCE North Dakota Real Estate CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are classified as distance education courses.
  • Students must read the course material and answer each set of end-of-chapter quizzes with a score of at least 60 percent before taking an open-book non-monitored final exam.
  • Students will not have access to the final exam until the student’s time in the course equals the number of approved credit hours for the course.
  • Exam passing score: 75%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE North Dakota Real Estate CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

How often does WebCE report North Dakota Real Estate CE course completions?

Every business day to the North Dakota Real Estate Commission. It takes an average of 2-4 business days from the time we report your hours before the Commission updates their website.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for North Dakota Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed.

What are the North Dakota Real Estate CE requirements for non-residents?

Nonresident licensees may be exempted from ND CE requirements if the licensee meets the real estate licensing requirements in the state of the licensee's residence.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The following are exempt from North Dakota CE requirements:
  • Salespersons who completed the prerequisite 90 hours of course of study to obtain a license are exempt from the CE requirement for their first license renewal.
  • Salespersons who are completing or have completed 15 hours in post-licensure CE in this CE cycle, because they completed the 45-hour pre-licensure course when it was still offered.
  • A broker who successfully completes the broker licensing exam during this CE cycle.
  • Any licensee who plans to have an inactive license, whether the licensee is active or inactive now.
  • Any licensee who has been licensed continuously for 15 years on Jan. 1, 1984.
  • The commission may make exceptions for reasons of health, military service, or other good cause if adequate proof is provided to the commission
