MS 4.0 hours Planning and Growing a Real Estate Business - Course Syllabus

Course Syllabus:

4.0 Elective Hours

Anyone interested in starting or growing a business that will require considerable energy, time, and/or money should create a business plan because it provides a roadmap for achieving goals.

There are 3 main components of a business plan business concept, marketplace description, and financial information. The business concept includes a discussion of the business's products and/or services, structure, and industry as well as the strategies that will be used to make the business a success. The marketplace description provides an explanation and analysis of potential customers/clients such as who they are, where they are, and what motivates them to buy. It also includes a description of competitors and how the business can beat them. Financial projections include a balance sheet, a cash flow statement, income, and other financial ratios like a break-even analysis.

A business plan is a written document that describes a business's future. It can be as short as 2 or 3 paragraphs that discuss a business strategy or as long as 100 (or more) pages with a full description of every aspect of the business. Upon completion of this course, the real estate professional will have a better understanding of how to develop and implement a business plan.
