KY 3.0 hours Tiny Homes and Other Alternative Properties Course Syllabus
3.0 Elective Hours.
Television shows like Tiny House, Big Living and Tiny House Nation have brought tiny houses into the consciousness of many Americans and sparked interest in this way of living. However, living in tiny homeowners and other alternative properties is a normal way of life for what appears to be a growing number of Americans. Some live in alternative forms of housing by choice and others live in them out of necessity. For example, some tiny homeowners want to create simpler lives or reduce their carbon footprints. Others want to escape high rents and mortgages, and some need to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. For these reasons and others, tiny houses have ignited a movement, sparked debate, and caused some to connect their popularity to socioeconomic issues that affect the country. This course provides detailed information about the tiny house movement and other forms of alternative housing.
