Excess credit hours may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the South Carolina Real Estate license renewal process?

Licensees may begin renewing their licenses in May. The licensee will affirm and represent to SCREC accurate information regarding CE and disciplinary or criminal history. Login through online services and pay via credit card or electronic check.

What are the South Carolina Real Estate CE requirements for non-residents?

If you are a nonresident that has met the continuing education requirements of your resident licensed jurisdiction, you can be exempt from continuing education in South Carolina. You will be required to self-report through the continuing education tracking provider, CE Broker.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The following are exempt from South Carolina CE requirements:
  • Individuals over the age of 65 with a minimum of 25 years of licensure prior to 2017. Individuals must have applied for exemption and have received approval from Commission.
  • A nonresident that has met the continuing education requirements of your resident licensed jurisdiction.
  • Active duty licensees in the United States Military are exempt from CE for the periods of service.
