Are there any subject area requirements for Georgia Real Estate CE?

All License Types

  • Georgia License Law: 3 CE hours
  • Electives: 33 CE hours

Salesperson First Time Renewal

  • Georgia License Law: 3 CE hours
  • Electives: 24 CE hours
  • Georgia Postlicensing Course: 25 hours

Note: Salespersons are required to take a 25-hour Post-Licensing course within the first year of licensure. The Post-Licensing course will also count as 9 elective CE hours towards the salesperson's first renewal. WebCE’s First Time Renewal Package will satisfy the 24 additional Elective hours, plus the 3 Mandatory Georgia Law hours, needed to complete the renewal requirements for the first 4 years of licensure.

When does Georgia Real Estate CE have to be completed?

Every 4 years on the last day of the licensee’s birth month

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

You cannot repeat the same course within 1 year from the original course completion date.

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess hours cannot be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Georgia Real Estate license renewal process?

You can renew your license online with the Georgia Real Estate Commission up to 120 days (4 months) prior to the renewal date. You must renew by midnight of your renewal due date to avoid lapsing and incurring a late fee. There is NO grace period if the due date falls on a weekend or holiday. After you complete the renewal process, a new wall license and pocket card will be mailed to you within two business days.

  • Students must read the course material.
  • Final exams are not required for continuing education.

What is the access period for WebCE Georgia Real Estate CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

How often does WebCE report Georgia Real Estate CE course completions?

Every business day to the Georgia Real Estate Commission.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Georgia Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the course is completed.

What are the Georgia Real Estate CE requirements for non-residents?

The Commission shall deem the continuing education requirement as met by any nonresident licensee who submits satisfactory written proof that he or she has met the continuing education requirement of his or her state of residence during the renewal period in which the licensee is applying for a renewal of a real estate license. If the state of residence of a nonresident licensee does not require continuing education, then such nonresident licensee must meet the continuing education requirements of a resident licensee.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The following are exempt from Georgia CE requirements:
  • Individuals serving on active duty in the armed forces of the United States or in the General Assembly
  • Individuals whose license number is less than 100,000
