Q: I've never taken an online course. How does it work?

A: Online courses offer the convenience not found in traditional classroom courses. You can use any device with internet access to complete your work. Your courses are available 24–7, so class is in session whenever it is convenient for you! You will simply log into your account online and all your work will be wherever you are! Customer service is available by phone, chat or email: M–F; 9am–7pm EST.

A great way to try our courses is by trying out our course demos! You can find those on our course catalog pages. Scroll down to the single courses and you will see a "Live Demo" that you can access for any course you would like to try. Just remember, any progress made on demos cannot be used for renewal purposes.

Q: Can I use my tablet or a smart phone?

A: Our CE courses are 100% mobile friendly and compatible with all devices. No special system requirements.

Q: How do I know the packages you offer will satisfy all my renewal requirements?

A: We make staying in compliance easy with our complete CE renewal packages. We customize our packages so that they all contain your mandatory courses. However, if you have questions about taking the correct courses, you are welcome to call or chat with us.

Q: Do you ever have coupon codes?

A: Everyone loves a sale, including us! We always have the most recent coupon codes easily visible in the upper right corner of your state's catalog page. Once you add your course(s) and go to your shopping cart, add the current coupon code into the coupon code box to obtain your discount.

Q: How do I register for courses and create an account?

A: You will go to our main page and select your state. After adding your course selections, you will be led through the registration and payment process. You will be creating your own account at this time. You will log in with the email and password you sign up with to complete your course.

Q: Can I use the same account as my spouse/friend/co–worker?

A: No. Everyone's account must be made with a different email. By using the same email then there is no way for our system to tell which courses yours are vs the other persons. If you do not have an email, try one of the free online email providers to create one prior to registering for courses.

Q: I have used RealEstateCE.com before, but I can't remember my login information.

A: That's easy! Just call, chat or email us and we can get you into your account and help you alter any information that has changed since your last renewal.

Q: Once I purchase my courses, how long does it take before I have access to them?

A: Access to your courses is instantaneous! As soon as your payment is processed you can log in and start your courses!

Q: How long do I have to complete my courses? What if I do not finish in time?

A: Courses usually stay active in our system for 6 months from date of purchase.

Q: What if I decide online courses are not going to work for me?

A: At RealEstateCE.com we understand that your time and money are precious. For that reason, we never have issue giving a refund. If you have already received certificates for some of your courses, we are happy to do a partial refund as well.

Q: What if I don't finish an entire course in one sitting? Can I walk away and come back later without losing my progress?

A: You may work as your schedule allows. If you do not complete an entire course, simply hit the "Pause and Return To Account" button that you will find in the top right corner of the screen. When you are ready to get back to work, find the course you were working on and click "Resume." It will take you right to where you left off!

Q: Are your courses timed? What if I run out of time?

A: Some states do have a mandatory seat time requirement. Our courses have a built–in progress bar, so you can easily see how much time you have accumulated in your course. These are MINIMUM time requirements. You can exceed the seat timer by as much as you would like with no penalty.

Q: My seat time requirement is up. Does that mean I am done with my course?

A: Even if you have reached the minimum time requirement that does not mean you have finished your course. You must not only fill the seat timer, you must also finish all your coursework, quizzes, matching portions and exams (if applicable).

Q: I opened a course and received a "seat timer error" message. What does this mean?

A: Sometimes, if you do not log out properly, you will get a seat timer error message that says, "It's been __________ minutes since we have detected any activity from you. The ______ Real Estate Commission requires that we detect activity from you every 15 minutes. The _______minutes you were away was not applied to your course time. The time you've spent while working in your course(s) did not change." This simply means that it didn't count the time you were away from the computer. This will NEVER take away time you have accumulated while working in your course!

Q: What is the difference between an exam, a quiz and the matching portions?

A: You will have several lessons in each course. At the end of each lesson you will have a quiz and sometimes a matching portion. The quiz portions usually consist of 3–5 multiple choice questions. If you do not pass a quiz, the system will simply regenerate a new quiz until you do pass. The matching sections will tell you whether your answer is wrong and give you the option to change it, until you get it right. They are impossible to fail. The exam is the test you will take at the end of all lessons in a course.

Q: What happens if I do not pass an exam?

A: Most states allow you 2 attempts at each exam. If you do not pass the exam the 2nd time, you will be expected to repeat the coursework (and seat timer if applicable) before you get an additional 2 attempts at the exam. You can do this as many times as you need to pass an exam. There are no additional costs for having to repeat an exam or a course.

Q: My state has "open book exams." What does that mean?

A: There are several states who have open book exams. This applies only to exams, not quizzes or matching portions. When you take your exam, you will have a question, followed by 4 multiple choice answers. Under the answers you can select from you will see a blue button that says, "Look up Answer" and the lesson will open for you to review.

Q: I tried to send my completion certificates to myself, but the system says that you do not have my email?

A: When you first register for courses and create an account with us, the system will send an automated message to the email address you used. It will ask you to verify your email within 24 hours. If you don't validate it in that time frame, you will need to call us and have us validate it for you before you can send completion certificates to yourself. Not verifying your email will also prevent you from getting "password reset" or any automated emails about your account.

Q: I finished my course(s). How long will it take for you to submit my credits to the state commission?

A: We submit course completions each week day. We always promise to submit each course completion by the next business day, at the latest. We do not submit course completions on weekends or holidays. Keep in mind that, even if we submit them immediately, each state commission takes varied amounts of time to then log the courses in on their side. This can take anywhere from 1–10 days, depending on the state. Please do NOT wait until the last minute to finish your CE.

Note: We do not report credits to every state, there are some states that require the students to report their own credits.

Q: I have finished all my courses but would like to access the course material again. How can I do that?

A: Once you complete your CE you will no longer have access through your RealEstateCE account however we offer all our courses in a demo feature. This will allow you full access to the course lesson material, learning activities, and quizzes. To access visit your states course catalog page and click the live demo button by the desired course.
