Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 1 year license term.

Excess credit hours may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Louisiana Real Estate license renewal process?

Licenses renew annually on 9/30.

  • Timely Renewal Period: 8/1 - 9/30
  • First Delinquent Renewal Period: 10/1 - 11/15 ($50 delinquent fee for active and inactive licensees)
  • Second Delinquent Renewal Period: 11/16 - 12/31 ($50 delinquent fee for inactive licensees; $200 delinquent fee for active licensees)
Failure to renew your license by 12/31 will result in expiration of your license. The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew your license. All continuing education hours must be completed prior to submission of your license renewal with the Commission.

What are the WebCE Louisiana Real Estate CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are classified as online education courses.
  • Students must read the course material and answer each set of end-of-chapter quizzes with a score of at least 70 percent before taking an open-book non-monitored final exam.
  • Exam passing score: 70%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Louisiana Real Estate CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

How often does WebCE report Louisiana Real Estate CE course completions?

Every business day to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission. It may take up to 10 days before you see the credits post.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Louisiana Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed.

What are the Louisiana Real Estate CE requirements for non-residents?

All active licensees must complete the annual continuing education requirement, including any mandatory course requirement. However, Louisiana does have reciprocal agreements with Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. A non-resident licensee, who obtained a Louisiana license through reciprocity and continues to reside in the reciprocal state, is not required to complete the annual continuing education requirement, including any mandatory course requirement.

Are there any CE exemptions?

Licensees who are inducted into military service or those licensees in the military who are transferred out of state shall, upon furnishing appropriate evidence of their honorable service, be entitled to renewal of their licenses, without penalty, provided application is filed within 6 months following discharge.
