What are the Real Estate Continuing Education requirements for Indiana?

Brokers & Managing Brokers

  • Total CE Requirements: 36 CE hours
  • Annual CE Requirements: 12 CE hours

Broker

  • Electives: 12 CE hours every year

Managing Broker

  • Managing Broker Required Course: 4 CE hours every year
  • Electives: 8 CE hours every year

When does Indiana Real Estate CE have to be completed?

7/1 - 6/30 annually

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 3 year license term.

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess credit hours may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Indiana Real Estate license renewal process?

Licenses renew 6/30 every 3 years. You will attest to your completion of continuing education on the renewal application. Send proof of completion only if you are notified that you have been chosen for the random continuing education audit after renewals are collected.

What are the WebCE Indiana Real Estate CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are classified as online distance education.
    Important Notice: Students will not have access to the final exam until the student’s time in the course equals the number of approved credit hours for the course.
  • Students must read the course material and answer each set of end-of-chapter quizzes with a score of at least 60 percent before taking an open-book non-monitored final exam.
  • Exam passing score: 75%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Indiana Real Estate CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

How often does WebCE report Indiana Real Estate CE course completions?

Every business day to the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Indiana Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The following are exempt from Indiana CE requirements:
  • Individuals in the armed forces of the United States for at least one year of the three year licensure period.
  • Individuals who suffer from an incapacitating illness that prevented full-time or part-time work during at least twelve months of the three year renewal period.
  • A licensee who successfully completes 30 hours of postlicensing education is not required to complete further courses until the third continuing education year after the continuing education year in progress when the broker is initially licensed.
