Upon completion of all the course steps, a certificate will immediately, and always be available for printing from your account.
The course completion certificate contains the course approval number and completion date which will be needed during the renewal process with the Department of Real Estate (DRE). The certificate is for your files and should not be mailed to the DRE.
Continuing education providers are not required to submit a course roster to the DRE.
To renew your license, you may use the DRE online eLicensing or submit your renewal application 90 days prior to your license expiration date. The course certificate we provide contains the course approval number and completion date which will be needed during the renewal process with the DRE. Your renewal is on-time if the eLicensing transaction is completed or your application is postmarked on or before midnight of your license expiration date. If you renew on-time, Business and Professions Code Section 10156.2 permits you to continue operating under your existing license after its expiration date unless notified otherwise by the DRE.

California Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I have completed my 45 hours CE what is the next step in my California license renewal?
A: Once your CE is complete you can now apply for your CA license renewal with the DRE. You can do this online from the DRE website, or send in your application to the state by mail. CA DRE does not accept roster reporting for your CE credits. To report your California real estate CE credits to the state you will need to fill out form RE251 using the information from your completion certificates (you do not need to send your certificates to the DRE). Your renewal is on time if eLicensing transaction is complete or your application is postmarked on or before midnight on the date your license expires.
Q: Are your California real estate license renewal courses approved with the state?
A: Yes, our California real estate continuing education courses are approved with the CA Dept of Real Estate. Our California DRE School Sponsor number: 4956.
Q: Where can I go for CA real estate license lookup?
A: You can look up your license using the DRE website's California real estate license lookup tool.
Q: Do you have a book or materials for your Department of Real Estate California real estate renewal courses that can be mailed to me?
A: No, we do not have a paper copy of our courses, however you can print or download the course material as our California real estate CE courses are offered in an eBook format. We suggest you saving a PDF copy of the courses on your computer. Printing averages about 10 pages per course hour, so printing 45 hours would require around 450 pages.
Q: How soon can I complete my 45 hours online real estate continuing education?
A: While there is no seat time required for course lessons, the California Department of Real Estate does have restrictions on the number of exam credit hours you can complete per day. You may only complete 8credit hours of exam per calendar day, and no more than 15credit hours of exams within a 24hour period. While it is possible to complete the 45hour CA real estate license renewal CE package in 7 days, if you are not able to complete the 15hour course on your purchase day, it will take you 8 days to complete the package. This is a DRE rule and we are not able to grant exam access to you any faster than this rule stipulates.
Note: Please make SURE to finish your course evaluation right after taking an exam. Failure to do so could delay future exams!
Q: I have been finished the lessons on my license renewal CA courses and the system says that I have already used my maximum hours and will not allow me to access an exam. Why is this?
A: This message does not refer to the number of hours you have completed. It is referring to the number of exam credit hours you have completed. The CA Department of Real Estate rules state you can only complete a maximum of 8 credit hours of exams each day and not to exceed 15 credit hours of exam completions in a 24hour period.
