UT 3.0 hours Fair Housing (CORE) Course Syllabus

Course Syllabus:
3.0 Core Hours.
Fair housing is a goal of our country. No individual should be denied property rights. Federal and State laws have been written to provide protection to individuals who are members of a class of citizens who are likely to have their rights denied through discriminatory practices. These classes of individuals need to be protected and are referred to as a 'protected class.'Ìâå Real estate agents historically have been considered to be important players in making sure that no individuals are denied their real property rights.
Discrimination is the failure to treat all persons equally. Discrimination is found to have taken place in any situation where no reasonable distinction can be found between people who receive favored treatment and people who do not. Federal laws, state laws and local laws are designed to eliminate discrimination on fair housing.
