Course Syllabus:

3.0 Core Law Hours.

Ohio real estate licensees are required to undergo continuing professional education in order to maintain, improve, and broaden their knowledge and skills, an on-going process to competence. The required Ohio core law seeks to challenge those who have just entered the real estate market as well as those who have been licensed for many years. Precedent setting Ohio case laws are included to illustrate course material.

Course Objective

Explain and specify the rules regarding licensing, applications and examinations.

Discuss and explain the Ohio license renewal/reactivation system as well as termination of a salesperson or death of a broker.

Share information regarding disciplinary actions by the real estate commission and the courts.

Discuss administrative procedures within the real estate commission.

Summarize educational requirements of the real estate department.

Give examples of a complete mandatory company policy as required by ORC.

Review general provisions for Ohio licensees.

Demonstrate knowledge of advertising rules and requirements for Ohio licensees.
