Entrepreneurs must have the experience, knowledge, acumen, and professional skills to be successful, but it is more than just your mission statement, target market, competitive analysis, and list of services you provide.

Because relationship management is a significant component of property management, property managers should have strong verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills. They should be able to communicate easily to understand messages and actively listen to stakeholders to understand their messages.

There are 10 crucial steps to creating your own property management business: Create a business plan; Seek assistance and training; Select a location; Secure your financing; Determine a legal structure; Register a business name; Obtain a tax identification number; Register with state and local governments; Acquire business licenses and permits; and Understand legal responsibilities of employers.

This course covers the steps to take in starting a business from creating a business plan to hiring employees. Also covered are the various duties and responsibility of being a property manager. This course is a valuable tool to anyone who is considering their own venture into property management.
