Agents should each have their own basic toolkit for safety. An agent safety toolkit is a group of products or devices that are used to promote your safety as an agent. These items are usually easy to procure, inexpensive and easy to use. In addition, many of these items may already be owned by real estate professionals.
An agent safety toolkit can contain a variety of items depending on the agent and their circumstances, some suggestions are a smart phone, phone charger, Mace or pepper spray, whistle, pen & paper, and a road side safety kit to name a few. One of the most valuable tools an agent can carry is a smart phone. Because of the numerous functions, there are several ways an agent can use this device to stay safe while working in the field. Putting these items to use for safety's sake may be the key to prevent being a crime victim.
This course covers some basic steps that all real estate professionals can take to reduce the threat of being victims of a crime. Practicing these can greatly reduce safety risks. The key here is incorporating these measures into your daily routines and schedules. Upon completion of this course, the real estate professional will be able to implement many steps to reduce their chances of being a victim of criminal activity.
