Course Syllabus:

3.0 Core Law Hours.

This course meets jurisdictional requirements for updating the knowledge of Florida licensees regarding State and Federal Laws affecting the Florida real estate industry.

Course Objective

Explain the three types of authorized brokerage relationships in Florida.

Summarize the Brokerage Relationship Disclosure Form and discuss the applicability of the disclosure requirements.

Explain regulatory requirements for the disposition of deposits and escrows.

Lists ways that a licensee may lose their license and/or be disciplined by the Real Estate Commission.

Identify the important documents that explain condo owners’ legal rights and obligations.

Explain ownership limitations like time for moving, need for condominium approval, payment of maintenance, and special assessments.

Implement the condominium FAQ disclosure rule.

Discuss the responsibilities of a Condominium Association

Discuss and explain the changes to the Florida Homestead Laws.

Summarize the Commercial Real Estate Sales Commission Lien Act.

List recent relevant changes in Florida, including state and federal laws impacting real estate.

Learn Homeowner Flood Insurance / TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Requirements (TRID)
